Quam pro me cura[m] geris, hanc precor optime pro me
Deponas, lethumq[ue] sinas pro laude pacisci.
Et nos tela pater, ferrumq[ue] haud debile dextra
Spargimus, & nostro sequitur de vulnere sanguis.
Longè illi dea mater erit, quæ nube fugacem
Fœminea tegat, & vanis sese occulat vmbris.
At regina noua pugnæ conterrita sorte
Flebat, & ardentem generum moritura tenebat.
Turne, per has ego te lachrymas, per si quis Amatæ
Tangit honos animum, spes tu nunc vna senectæ,
Tu requies miseræ: decus, imperiumq[ue] Latini
Te penes, in te omnis domus inclinata recumbit:
Vnum oro, desiste manum committere Teucris.
Qui te cunque manent isto certamine casus,
Et me Turne manent, simul hæc inuisa relinquam
Lumina, nec generum Aeneam captiua videbo.
Accepit vocem lachrymis Lauinia matris,
Flagrantes perfusa genas, cui plurimus ignem
Subiecit rubor, & calefacta per ora cucurrit.
Indum sanguineo veluti violauerit ostro
Si quis ebur, vel mista rubent vbi lilia multa
Alba rosa: tales virgo dabat ore colores.
Illum turbat amor, figitq[ue] in virgine vultus,
Ardet in arma magis, paucisq[ue] affatur Amatam.
Ne quæso, ne me lachrymis, néue omine tanto
Prosequere in duri certamina Martis euntem
